Promotion of Jessica Turner to Associate Solicitor at Manleys Solicitors in Chester

Manleys Solicitors, a boutique firm specializing in commercial litigation and reputation management located in Chester, has recently announced the promotion of Jessica Turner to the role of Associate Solicitor.

With over 7 years of experience, Jessica joined Manleys after working at a well-known full-service firm in the North-West. Her decision to join Manleys in 2016 stemmed from her ambition to become a successful lawyer in the fields of reputation management and commercial litigation. Initially starting as a Paralegal and Personal Assistant to Mr. Manley, Jessica provided valuable support in the firm’s day-to-day operations and financial matters, as well as assisting solicitors on cases. While working full-time, she pursued her legal education and completed a Graduate Diploma in Law and LPC, accompanied by a Masters in Law and Business Management at the University of Law. Her hard work paid off, and in 2017 she was awarded a training contract, qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2019. Even after 3 ½ years since qualification, Jessica continues to excel in her work.

Since becoming qualified, Jessica has been instrumental in protecting her clients’ reputations, commercial interests, intellectual property, and confidential information. Her expertise is evident in her daily involvement in advising clients on a wide range of legal matters, including Reputation Management, Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property, Defamation, Privacy, Breach of Confidence, Harassment, Data Protection, Advertising Law, and Shareholder Disputes.

Throughout her career, Jessica and the firm have represented high-profile clients and been involved in prominent cases. Notably, she secured a significant victory for her client in a privacy case (Pryor v Liverpool Womens’ NHS Foundation Trust & Lumsden ([2021] EWHC 2911 (QB)). This accomplishment garnered attention and was reported by Media Blog, Inforrm. Additionally, Jessica achieved a notable outcome against one of the largest social media platforms, obtaining an out-of-court settlement following allegations of defamation and data protection breaches. These achievements, which were reported earlier this year, undoubtedly contributed to her recent promotion. From these notable successes to the testimonials attributed to Jessica on the firm’s website, www.manleys.law, it is evident that she is providing exceptional service to her clients.

Mark Manley, the Managing Director of the highly regarded Legal 500 firm, expressed his satisfaction with Jessica’s progression, stating, “Observing Jess’s journey from an administrative position to paralegal and eventually one of our most accomplished solicitors has been truly rewarding. She is a dedicated, hard-working solicitor who has honed her legal knowledge, consistently exceeding all set targets, and undoubtedly represents a star of the future. I had no hesitation in promoting her, and I am confident that she will continue to strive for further success while helping our clients achieve their goals. She is a true asset to the firm.”

Reflecting on her recent promotion, Jessica commented, “I have enjoyed many fulfilling years at Manleys and have a genuine passion for the work I do. Achieving positive results for my clients has always been my primary goal, and I look forward to continuing that commitment in my new position with the firm.”
