Primas Law Joins Select Group of UK Firms Adopting New Thomson Reuters AI Technology

Primas Law, a leading commercial law firm, has joined an exclusive group of UK firms by adopting a new suite of AI tools developed by legal industry experts, Thomson Reuters.

As part of its commitment to innovation, Primas Law has made a significant investment in Thomson Reuters’ generative AI technology, becoming one of the early adopters in the UK. The firm’s Managing Partner, Adam Kerr, views this investment as crucial for unlocking further growth and potential.

“Since our inception 10 years ago, we’ve been very tech-driven, always aiming to improve our service delivery,” said Kerr. “The development of generative AI presents immense opportunities for law firms, and as a progressive, dynamic firm, it felt natural for us to be early adopters of these tools. We believe technological advancement isn’t limited to large global law firms.”

After testing various AI products, Primas Law selected Thomson Reuters’ suite, finding it to be cutting-edge. The firm’s investment in CoCounsel, a chat-based generative AI assistant, is expected to enhance client service by reducing research time and allowing lawyers to focus more on deploying their expertise.

Thomson Reuters CoCounsel is designed to help law firms increase productivity and practice with confidence, drawing on more than 150 years of authoritative content and industry expertise. Primas Law, with offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire, and London, specializes in employment, real estate and construction, insolvency, litigation, and corporate and commercial law.
