Lawyer Returns to Midlands to Join Lanyon Bowdler’s Commercial Property and Agriculture Teams

Shropshire-based law firm Lanyon Bowdler has bolstered its commercial property and agriculture departments with the appointment of solicitor James Dodson, who has returned to the Midlands.

Originally from Worcestershire, James Dodson cites Lanyon Bowdler’s strong reputation in commercial property law as a key factor in his decision to join, viewing the move as a significant step in advancing his career.

James studied law at the University of East Anglia and earned an LLM in Legal Practice from BBP University Law School in Birmingham. After completing his training contract with a firm in the North West, he relocated to the Midlands with his wife and family.

During his training, James worked on both residential and commercial property matters, eventually specializing in commercial property law after qualifying. Prior to his training contract, he gained experience in commercial property with an international law firm in Birmingham and a renowned fashion brand in the South West.

“It’s an honour to join Lanyon Bowdler, a firm recognized in The Legal 500 and Chambers UK for its commercial property expertise,” James said. “As a Top 200 UK Law Firm, Lanyon Bowdler serves a broad client base, from individuals to SMEs and national and international businesses. The firm’s collaborative environment and commitment to delivering top-tier legal services make it an exciting place to further my career.”

Praveen Chaudhari, head of the firm’s commercial and agricultural property division, welcomed James, saying, “We are pleased to have James on board as demand for our legal expertise in agriculture and commercial property continues to grow. His strong background and dedication to client care make him a valuable addition to our team.”
