Edward, based in Washington, D.C., brings an impressive career spanning over 30 years in real estate and real estate finance. His expertise encompasses a broad range of areas, including commercial and residential real estate transactions, development, leasing, and financing.
Before joining PierFerd, Edward was a partner at FisherBroyles, LLP, and previously held partner roles at several prestigious Am Law 100 firms, including Locke Lord LLP and Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. His wealth of experience positions him as a valuable asset to PierFerd’s thriving Real Estate practice.
Across his career, Edward has represented national and regional lenders and borrowers in complex loan transactions; developers and investors on real estate acquisitions, sales, and development; and advised commercial landlords and tenants internationally.
He has also advised on the creation and administration of complex reciprocal covenant and easement agreements for large office parks and mixed-use developments. His lending experience includes servicers of Real Estate Mortgage Investment Conduit (“REMIC”) pools; and advising on loan modifications, assumptions, and consents.
Edward’s talent has been frequently recognized, being named among The Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate Law from 2010 to 2024, while he is rated AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell.
