WFW advises ING on US$70m container financing

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised ING Belgium SA/NV (“ING”) as lender on a US$70m term loan facility arranged for TXL Container Investment Limited (“TXL”) as borrower. The facility comprises a US$35m term loan facility with an accordion option to increase the facility by an additional US$35m.

The loan will enable TXL, an Irish SPV owned by Real Asset Income Fund (an equipment leasing income fund in which Touax Group is the operating partner), to finance the acquisition of new shipping containers.

The WFW Singapore Assets & Structured Finance team that advised ING was led by Partner Lizzie Roe, supported by Associate Andy Wilson.

Lizzie commented: “We are excited to have advised our long-standing client ING on this noteworthy cross-border transaction which further showcases WFW’s in-depth knowledge and outstanding expertise in the complex container financing space”.

Stephenson Harwood acted for TXL.
