JMW Solicitors strengthens extradition expertise amid growth in enquiries

JMW Solicitors has bolstered its Business Crime and Regulation team in London following continued growth in extradition enquiries, welcoming specialist Angela Leskaj as Associate.

Angela specialises in crime and extradition, with extensive experience representing clients who are subject to Interpol red notices or international arrest warrants as well as defending extradition requests.

Recent cases include the representation of a Croatian national resisting extradition relating to drugs supply, and advising a client at a High Court appeal in respect of a request from Hungary, on the basis that assurances on prison conditions were not compliant with the Human Rights Act.

Angela brings considerable expertise in successfully defending extradition requests in both EU and non-EU extradition proceedings. This compliments the JMW team’s close relationships with a wide network of international lawyers, adding significant value to clients.

Daniel Martin, Head of JMW Solicitors’ Business Crime and Regulation team in London, said: “We have continued to see an increase in complex extradition cases – particularly in the wake of Brexit – so it is fantastic to welcome Angela to the team, further cementing our expertise in this area. Angela’s arrival adds depth to the range of services we can offer to clients who are defending extradition requests.”

JMW Solicitors is a full-service law firm with offices in London, Manchester and Liverpool. Its Business Crime and Regulation team is highly regarded within the market, adding value to clients by drawing on the experience of other departments within the firm from immigration, public law, dispute resolution, family law and reputation management through to media law.

  1. Hence today’s open thread! You guys have given me stellar mascara suggestions—the 100% Pure mascara I’ve been using and the Kjaer Weis I love were both ITG reader recommendations—so I wanted to open it up to everyone! Long story short—yes. “Natural ingredients mean a clean mascara is less likely to irritate sensitive skin,” says Bonin. “A lot of skin irritation—including irritation of the eyes—stem from using and removing the ingredients commonly found in traditional mascaras.” This is my go-to mascara currently and what you will see me wearing most days on social media. Whenever I wear this mascara, I get asked, “What mascara are you wearing?” It happens without fail. And for good reason.  It’s nourishing & deeply conditioning with aloe vera, green tea, jojoba & castor oil. The organic carnauba wax gives spectacular body & length to lashes while the natural mineral pigments provide an intense, long lasting inky black colour.
