Media advisory – Molly Russell pre-inquest review hearing, Monday 11 July 2022

A pre-inquest review (PIR) hearing in relation to the death of Molly Russell will be held on Monday 11 July 2022 from 1pm at North London Coroners Court, 29 Wood Street, Chipping Barnet, London. Interested Persons will appear remotely.

Fourteen-year-old Molly, from Harrow in London, viewed material online and on social media platforms linked to anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicide before ending her life in November 2017. Since then, her family have campaigned tirelessly for greater safety for young social media users.

The PIR hearing is also due to finalise the mode of hearing for the inquest and the availability of and access to documents to the media.

The PIR is likely to be the final hearing before the inquest into Molly’s death which is listed from 19 to 30 September 2022.

Enquiries should be sent to pressoffice@leighday.co.uk
