Manleys Solicitors, a distinguished law firm from Chester, is proud to represent Nazrin Choudhury, a filmmaker nominated for the 2024 Oscars. Choudhury’s acclaimed short film “Red White and Blue” has earned a nomination in the Best Live Action Short Film category, highlighting her exceptional talent.
Choudhury, based in California, shared the impetus for her film: “I penned the story of ‘Red, White and Blue‘ in the immediate aftermath of the Supreme Court overturning the landmark decision in the Roe v Wade case, which had protected our reproductive rights in America for almost 50 years.”
The plot of “Red, White and Blue” revolves around a young mother’s struggle for survival and her quest for essential medical support, set against a backdrop of significant societal change.
In recent times, Manleys Solicitors has amplified its presence in the American legal market, notably after Mark Manley was granted the right to appear in a New York court. Manley’s legal calendar includes an upcoming case in the High Court of Justice in London and a mediation in New York involving a former World Champion boxer.
A spokesperson for Manleys Solicitors expressed their delight in representing Choudhury: “We are really proud to be working with the incredibly talented Nazrin Choudhury. Red, White and Blue is a masterpiece. It’s hard to believe that a Short of this length could so quickly grip its viewers and provoke such emotion and feeling.
As the Oscars approach on March 11th, the team at Manleys is optimistic about Choudhury’s chances of winning.
