Harper James Strengthens Commercial Property Development Team With Two New Appointments

Harper James, a full-service commercial law firm dedicated to supporting entrepreneurial growth, has bolstered its commercial property practice with the addition of Abdi Ebrahimi as Commercial Property Development Partner and Michelle Noble as Senior Commercial Property Solicitor.

These new appointments underscore a period of substantial growth for the team, following the earlier arrivals of Parmjit Gill, Head of Commercial Property, along with Senior Commercial Property Solicitors Alexander Curtis and Sarah Fecitt. The inclusion of Abdi and Michelle will enhance the firm’s ability to provide legal support for clients involved in commercial property development and financing.

Abdi Ebrahimi specializes in a wide array of acquisition and disposal strategies, including option agreements, conditional contracts, overage agreements, and back-to-back deals. He also has expertise in conducting title investigations, assessing the implications of rights, and helping clients navigate the risks associated with commercial property development.

Prior to joining Harper James, Abdi spent 16 years at Tinsdills Solicitors, where he rose from paralegal to solicitor, qualifying in 2012, and eventually served as shareholder and legal and commercial director. He led the commercial property department in the Newcastle-under-Lyme office.

With 17 years of experience, Michelle Noble is adept at handling a broad range of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, portfolio management, and business tenancies. She also specializes in mixed-use developments, option and overage agreements, and corporate support, assisting with the property components of company sales and acquisitions.

Michelle is particularly skilled in commercial property finance, managing complex lending transactions for development and investment in mixed-use, residential, and commercial properties. She previously worked for a top 30 law firm in London.

Commenting on his new role, Abdi said:

“From my first meeting with Harper James, it was evident that the firm’s culture, diverse client base, depth across various practice areas, and ambition set it apart. Being part of such a well-resourced and knowledgeable team will empower me to support clients looking to seize opportunities in the commercial property market and beyond.”

Parmjit Gill, Head of Commercial Property, expressed excitement about the new appointments, stating:

“We are delighted to welcome Abdi and Michelle, marking a significant milestone in the expansion of our commercial property services. Their expertise will strengthen our team of specialized commercial property lawyers, enabling us to better meet our clients’ growing needs for legal support in this area, and Abdi’s addition will allow us to enhance our services in the development sector.”

The appointments of Abdi and Michelle, along with other key hires throughout the firm, reflect Harper James’ ongoing growth strategy, with plans to double its turnover over the next three years.
