BOW Secures £4 Million Funding Round to Drive Robotics Software Innovation

Freeths has provided legal counsel on a multimillion-pound seed round investment into Bettering Our Worlds Limited (BOW), a University of Sheffield spinout specializing in robotics software.

The law firm’s Yorkshire corporate team supported science and technology investors Northern Gritstone, Finance Yorkshire, and NPIF II (Praetura Equity Finance) in securing the £4 million deal. This investment comes as the robotics sector continues its rapid growth, with market projections estimating a $260 billion valuation by 2030.

BOW offers a software platform that handles the complexities of robotics and allows developers to focus on innovation and creativity instead of technical challenges.

The innovative company is set to use the investment to fund essential development into BOW software and continue to grow operations for its people and clients.

Leading the Freeths team on this deal was Corporate Partner Dahren Naidoo and Corporate Associate Farrell Tang.

Commenting on the deal, Dahren Naidoo said: “It’s been a pleasure to have advised Northern Gritstone and its co-investors on this standout venture which will really help continue to drive this innovative, fast-growing market forward.”
