BRM, a leading Sheffield law firm, is championing the South Yorkshire business community as the headline sponsor of the Insider South Yorkshire Dealmakers Awards 2025.
With an office in Steel City House on West Street, BRM is supporting the event, which will honour the region’s standout achievements across the banking, funding, legal, and accountancy sectors.
The black-tie awards evening will be held on 5th June 2025 at the DoubleTree by Hilton on Bramhall Lane, bringing South Yorkshire’s top business leaders together for a night of celebration.
The awards being handed out on the evening include Corporate Law Firm of the Year, Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year, Funder of the Year, National/International Deal of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, and Dealmaker of the Year, among others.
As well as sponsoring the event, BRM has been shortlisted for two awards, including the Corporate Law Firm award and the Deal of the Year (£2.5m to £10m) award, for their part in the management buyout of CTW Hardfacing in December 2024, alongside Hawsons, NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland, and Clarion.
The nominations reflect the strong growth in BRM’s corporate and commercial department over the past year, including the appointment well-known dealmaker Rory Conwill as Corporate Director.
Rory joined the firm in October 2024 and has been developing BRM’s corporate offering across Sheffield and the wider region.
His wealth of expertise in advising on matters including acquisitions and disposals, reorganisations, secured lending, share schemes and equity investments, adds to an already strong department offering a wide range of professional commercial legal advice.
