Fundraising Mooting Competition at Cardiff University for The National Community Law Project

The Fundraising Mooting Competition is organised by Cardiff University Law Society, Cardiff University Bar Society, Cardiff and South East Wales JLD and The National Community Law Project CIC with support from Lawyers without Borders Cardiff Division, Cardiff Commercial Awareness Society, Women In Law Society Cardiff University and Ladies of Law ⚖️.

This event is to be held at the Cardiff University Law building on Saturday the 11th of March to raise awareness and funds for The National Community Law Project CIC, which promotes equal access to justice and legal advice for those who need it most across the nation.

The event invites Cathedral Chambers, Stowe Family Law, De Maids Solicitors and Advocates, 30 Park Place, Civitas Law and Charles Russell Speechlys, Albion Chambers, unlocked graduates, and Evershed’s Sutherland to enjoy a day of mooting and exciting fundraising activities such as the return of the ‘Stocks and Sponges’. With help from the organisers and supporters, The National Community Law Project hopes to raise money through ticket sales, the raffle, stock and sponges, bake sale and other events that are to be revealed on the day.

The National Community Law Project CIC enables equal access to justice and legal advice for low-income earners with the aim to bridge the gap between people who need access to justice and legal solutions working alongside the professionals who can assist them. Dane Marks Co-founder adds that his duty is to ‘serve the NCLP family and the community who need us in distressing, frustrating and often complicated times.’

As Head of Fundraising for The National Community Law Project CIC and on behalf of the project, we are so grateful to Cardiff Law Society for organising a mooting competition and to all the lecturers and graduates who helped coordinate the event. A massive thank you to Cathedral Chambers, Stowe Family Law, De Maids Solicitors and Advocates, 30 Park Place, Civitas Law, Charles Russell Speechlys, Albion Chambers, unlocked graduates, and Evershed’s Sutherland for helping us to create a memorable and already successful fundraiser and competition. We are so grateful for all your generous donations that are to be awarded to the mooting competition and raffle winners.

All the money raised from this event will help further this non-profit organisation seek out ways to provide equal access to justice and therefore increase the opportunities for the project to further its potential and aid.

On behalf of Cardiff University Law Society, Cardiff University Bar Society, Cardiff and South East Wales JLD and The National Community Law Project CIC with support from Lawyers without Borders Cardiff Division, Cardiff Commercial Awareness Society, Women In Law Society Cardiff University and Ladies of Law ⚖️, we are entirely grateful and appreciative to those who have supported this fundraising mooting competition event and again for all the generous donations.
