Beverley Morris Appointed Head of Family Law at HCR’s London Office

HCR Law’s Family Law team, one of the largest and most experienced in the UK, has welcomed renowned family lawyer Beverley Morris as a Partner and Head of Family, London, to start the new year.

Recognized as “a true leader and expert in her field,” Beverley holds a Band 1 ranking in the 2025 Chambers and Partners and specializes in navigating the financial implications of relationship breakdowns.

As a member of the Pension Advisory Group, she contributed to the 2024 second edition of A Guide to the Treatment of Pensions on Divorce. Supported by the Family Justice Council and The University of Cambridge, the guide serves as a vital resource for addressing complex pension issues in divorce cases.

Beverley’s career includes involvement in high-profile financial remedy cases, such as the Supreme Court decision in Mills v Mills, which influenced spousal maintenance law, and the protracted Moses Taiga v Taiga litigation, highlighting her expertise in complex financial disputes.

Beverley’s diverse client base includes entrepreneurs, landowners, high-net-worth individuals, and sports professionals. She is dedicated to achieving amicable resolutions for her clients, blending her legal acumen with a compassionate approach.

Beyond her practice, Beverley is deeply committed to advancing family law and supporting the professional development of fellow practitioners. As a longstanding member of the Resolution West Midlands Committee, she has advocated for constructive approaches to family law issues, with the aim of making a real difference in both the lives of her clients and the evolution of family law.

James Grigg, Head of Family, said “I’m delighted that the HCR Law Family division has begun 2025 in similar fashion to the recent years of growth, by welcoming Beverley to the team. Her knowledge of the intricacies of finances post-relationship breakdown is renowned and will enhance our offering to couples and families across the country.”

Commenting on her appointment, Beverley Morris said “HCR’s Family Law team are well-known for the excellent service they provide to clients – a service which is comprised of a deep understanding of the field combined with a genuine care for their clients. I’m pleased to be able to bring my experience to the team; I can’t wait to get started.”
