DWF, the global provider of integrated legal and business services, has been appointed by the London Boroughs’ Legal Alliance (LBLA) to its new solicitors panel.
DWF is one of eight legal businesses to be successful in securing a position on lot one of the framework, able to provide legal services in the field of regeneration to any of the local authority members included in the LBLA. The new framework came into effect on 8th July 2022 and will last for three years, with an option to extend for a further twelve months.
This is the fourth procurement exercise the LBLA has undertaken, and the selected firms were awarded a place on the framework due to their expertise in the field of public law, procurement, Real Estate, construction and local government.
A number of London Borough councils participated in the procurement exercise, with Westminster City Council acting as the central purchasing body. Other participating authorities come from within Greater London and South East England.
Colin Murray, Partner and Head of Local Government at DWF, said: “We are delighted to have been re-appointed to the LBLA’s new solicitors panel. We look forward to continuing to grow our work with the member boroughs to provide legal advice on their regeneration projects.
“Our award winning Local Government team at DWF has a deep understanding of the challenges and changes facing local authorities looking to deliver major regeneration projects, and this is a tremendous opportunity for us to help councils across London and the South East of England to deliver great results for their residents.”
Established in 2009, the London Boroughs’ Legal Alliance is a collaborative partnership aimed at driving innovative procurement practice and efficiency strategy that helps clients and local residents.
