Gilson Gray, a leading full-service UK law firm, has appointed experienced solicitor Tim Harrison as a partner and head of private client services for England. His appointment aligns with the firm’s strategic growth plans.
Tim joins Gilson Gray from Movera, where he led the private client department across its brands, including ONP Solicitors, Cavendish Legal Group, and Conveyancing Alliance. His career spans over 17 years at Laytons LLP, where he advanced from trainee to associate partner in the trusts, estates, and private client team.
Adding to Gilson Gray’s full-service offering, Tim will look to expand the firm’s private client base and headcount across its London and Lincoln offices.
Last October, the firm announced the acquisition of City of London-based PCM Solicitors, marking the first step of expansion into London and the South East. The deal followed the 2022 purchase of Home Property Lawyers (HPL) in Lincoln.
With offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, East Lothian, Aberdeen, Lincoln, Angus and London, Gilson Gray is one of the fastest-growing law firms in the UK and has plans for further growth into other cities and regions.
Glen Gilson, chair and managing partner of Gilson Gray, said: “Increasing our footprint in England is a strategic focus for the firm and bringing in new expertise and service lines is all part of that ambition. We are pleased to welcome Tim to the team and hope to continue our momentum with further appointments and acquisitions in 2025.”
Tim added: “I have already had so many interesting conversations with Glen and the senior leadership team, each full of energy, passion and a clear vision for the firm. The chance to join at a time when the business in England is rapidly developing was a great opportunity and I am looking forward to helping shape the next chapter, building on Gilson Gray’s existing capabilities for private clients.”
