4 August 2022 – Leading intellectual property (IP) firm Rouse today announces the appointment of a new Chairperson to its board: Paul Raleigh.
The appointment will support Rouse while the business continues to grow as a global IP services provider, operating in some of the world’s most complex markets. Rouse has been going from strength to strength in recent years, as businesses increasingly understand the value of intellectual property, and the firm reported double digit growth in the latest financial year. It has also continued to expand its service offering; most recently, Rouse, together with strategic partner Lusheng Law Firm, launched a new service to support businesses with digital engagement and activities in the metaverse.
Paul joins with extensive strategy, governance and senior leadership development experience in professional services. He spent six years as a member of the global leadership team of Grant Thornton International (GTI), leading the Group’s Strategic Growth and Advisory services and developing it into GTI’s fastest-growing service line. While there, he also developed a tailored programme for GTI’s senior leaders in partnership with the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Prior to this, he was Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Ireland for nine years and helped to expand the firm significantly through a combination of organic growth and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Paul currently serves as Independent Chairperson of Aviva Life and Pensions Ireland DAC and will continue in this role. In recent years, he has also acted as a senior business advisor to a number of professional services firms and served as an Independent Director on the board of the Bank of Ireland Mortgage Bank.
He holds an M(Sc) in management, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of the Institute of Management Consultants in Ireland.
