M&G has recently announced that it has appointed Charlotte Heiss as its new General Counsel and Company Secretary.

Charlotte has over 20 years legal and governance experience and has advised a number of blue-chip companies across a range of sectors. She joins from The Very Group where she was Group General Counsel and Company Secretary responsible for the oversight of corporate governance and ESG, as well as legal, risk and compliance. Prior to that she spent 11 years at RSA Insurance Group leading the legal and Co Sec function and started her career at Linklaters.

She will join the Executive Committee, reporting to the CEO, and will start on 5 June.

She replaces Alan Porter who has stepped down after ten years.
