JMW Solicitors LLP has hired six partners over the past six months to bolster its London office.
The office only opened three years ago but continues to expand with 130 people including 112 lawyers now working there. It has already generated £16 million from a standing start to the last financial year.
JMW Solicitors is ranked 70 in The Lawyer’s “UK 200: The Top 100” for 2021, moving up four places. The listing confirms that JMW posted the largest organic growth in the 51-100 tier, increasing revenues from £47.6m in 2020 to £53.2m this year, a 12% increase.

The partners who have joined JMW in London are:
Janet McCann, Construction: Janet specialises in both contentious and non-contentious construction law. She originally qualified as a civil engineer and worked for five years for major contractors prior to re-qualifying as a solicitor. Focused mainly on acting for developers, contractors and sub-contractors, Janet offers a full range of services from negotiation of construction contracts to the settlement of disputes between parties.
Karim Oualnan, Commercial Litigation: Karim is an experienced commercial litigation solicitor and mediator helping individuals and businesses with complex and high value litigation matters. These include disputes, professional negligence claims, insolvency, debt recovery, business interruption insurance, and property litigation. Karim was nominated for the Law Society – Young Lawyer of the Year in 2018.
Craig Harrison, Corporate & Commercial: Craig has 22 years’ experience of advising clients on a wide range of corporate transactions. He acts for financial institutions, companies, entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals. His key areas of work are M&A, management buyouts, corporate finance, JVs, shareholders’ agreements, share options, demergers and restructuring, and family investment companies. Craig work is regularly recognised in the Legal 500.
Chris Godwin, Real Estate Finance: Chris has more than 15 years’ experience in a wide range of financial products and transaction structures in both the UK and international markets. He has acted for many of the UK’s largest financial institutions and clearing banks, challenger banks, corporate institutions, mortgage lenders, and real estate servicers.
Jackie Nash, Real Estate Residential: Jackie acts for a wide range of clients from first-time buyers to families moving on, or people buying a retirement property, as well as UK banks and building societies, high net worth individuals, and property developers and investors. Jackie has experience with a wide range of matters relating to the acquisition, management and disposal of all types of real estate residential property transactions and has over 20 years expertise in dealing with high value properties in both the home counties and London markets.
Joe Da Silva, Real Estate Residential: Joe advises on all types of residential property transactions, including the sale and purchase of high value freehold and leasehold properties, new-build plot purchases, and lease extensions. Joe also deals with transfers of equity, re-mortgages and right-to-buy purchases.
