Metro Bank Colleagues Walk Streets of London for Charity

Thirty five colleagues from the UK’s community bank, Metro Bank, took part in the 10k London Legal Walk this week to raise much needed funds for the London Legal Support Trust – a trust that provides free and pro bono legal advice and support for disadvantaged people.

Metro Bank colleagues – based from across the London stores – joined thousands of other volunteers from different organisations raising £750 for the charity using their Day to Amaze to support the charity.  Metro Bank, gives every colleague a Day to Amaze – essentially a paid day off to support a local charity or good cause.

“This was not only a fantastic event to be a part of, but a great opportunity to really walk the streets of London and be part of the community,” explained Saron Tewolde, Assistant Store Manager from Metro Bank’s Clapham Junction store. “We all may live and work in London, but we rarely take the time to really see the City.  A huge thank you to all our colleagues and customers who helped us raise such a fantastic sum.”
