Pierson Ferdinand LLP (“PierFerd”), a rapidly expanding law firm known for its dedication to client service and innovation, is excited to announce the appointment of renowned M&A insurance experts, Andrew Shapiro and Jason Dubner, as Partners.

Andrew and Jason will spearhead the launch of PierFerd’s Transactional Liability Insurance Practice, offering expert services to insurance carriers and their managing agents in handling complex claims related to representations and warranties, tax indemnities, and litigation risk insurance policies.

Prior to joining PierFerd, both Andrew and Jason were part of the Representations and Warranties Insurance (“RWI”) team at the prestigious Am Law 50 firm, Holland & Knight LLP. Their previous experience includes co-chairing the RWI practice at Am Law 200 firm, Porter Wright Morris & Arthur LLP. With a reputation as trusted claims counsel, Andrew and Jason have become key figures for many RWI carriers and their agents.

Both are based in Chicago and licensed to practice in Illinois. Andrew is also licensed to appear before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third and Seventh Circuits, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (Trial Bar), and the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois.  Jason is a member of the Commercial Panel of the AAA National Roster of Arbitrators and Mediators.

Andrew and Jason also bring extensive commercial litigation and arbitration experience involving, among other things, post-M&A disputes, (re)insurance matters, and antitrust claims. Andrew also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where he has taught Pre-Trial Advocacy for more than a decade.
