WJM Announces Promotions Across Two Offices as Trainee Program Continues to Thrive

Leading Scottish law firm Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP (WJM) has announced a series of promotions across the company, celebrating the progress of its talented trainees as they advance within the firm. These promotions highlight WJM’s commitment to nurturing future legal professionals and expanding its expertise across Scotland.

The firm’s trainee program is experiencing a dynamic period of growth, reflecting WJM’s dedication to cultivating talent and fostering the next generation of legal experts. The promotions serve as a testament to the firm’s support for professional development and the continuous strengthening of its service offering.

In the Glasgow office, notable promotions include Carol Baxter, Angus Rutherford, and Thomas Fairbairn, who have all been promoted to solicitor positions within their respective practice areas. Carol Baxter will continue to contribute to the Private Client sector, Angus Rutherford has been elevated within Commercial Property, and Thomas Fairbairn now plays a key role in the Corporate team.

Additionally, WJM welcomes several new trainees. Olivia Finnie and Patricia Gillen have joined as Commercial Property trainees in Glasgow, while Cameron Watson joins the Glasgow office’s Private Client team. Deborah Nicol has also been added to the Private Client group but will be based in the firm’s Edinburgh office.

WJM’s second-year trainees are making strides as well, with each rotating into new areas to broaden their experience. Robyn Black transitions to the Corporate team in Glasgow, Irum Ashad moves to CRG in Glasgow, Mairi Adams will split her time between CRG and Private Client in Edinburgh, and Pip de Klerk takes on a role in Corporate in the Edinburgh office.
