Top 100 law firm, Express Solicitors, confirmed strong financial results in its statutory accounts filed with Companies House in December 2022. It has repeated last year’s impressive feat as it announced its best financial results for the third year running, with group turnover up by 12.5% from last year to £36 million. |
Turnover for Express Solicitors increased rapidly over the last three years from £22.6 million in 2020 to £30.4 million in 2022, while medical reporting agency, Ontime Group, increased turnover from £5.3 million to £5.9 million. |
Caseloads over the year have grown to over 22,000. |
Express Solicitors’ managing partner, James Maxey said: “We have really accelerated our ambitious growth plans this year, enabled by the continuous funding of RBS. We aim to reach a turnover of £60 million within the next five years.” |
Marketing spend increased to £12 million with digital resources deployed to improve website traffic and increased PPC working alongside the firm’s established marketing routes. |
With recruitment and training also being ramped up, head count at the firm has increased from 389 to over 500 employees. |

In the last financial year, Express Solicitors successfully acquired another personal injury law firm Michael W Halsall Solicitors together with its modern Haydock office and is preparing to transfer head office to the £4.4 million building, purchased recently which could accommodate 1000 staff. This level of expansion is securing its position as one of the main firms in England and Wales specialising purely in personal injury. |
